Available to ‘Travel/Select’ players only! Ages: 10 to 16 2009 Dates: Commencing July 6th & 20th and Aug 3rd & 10th This high standard of soccer training we deliver in our ‘Next Steps’ Program is simply not available in the States. Our unique program is a benchmark in the industry that gives travel players the opportunity to enjoy competitive soccer in the months of June and July. Players will develop skills in small group sessions and play competitive scrimmages against English youth academies. Your team’s competitive records will be secondary to the development of each play.
What we offer:
Program Details Team Training You will have 30 hours of on field coaching with our your B.S.S. trainers, all are qualified to the English FA standards and are UEFA sanctioned Many of our trainers work year round for Professional Premier League & Championship youth academies. Working in groups of 8 you will be matched with American, Canadian and British travel players. We develop individuals by training in a competitive atmosphere where advanced soccer drills along with high standard of other team mates are combined.
Training sessions are conducted at Liverpool John Moore’s University; the location is an $8 million “Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Learning’ (CETL)
One on One Training Complimenting your team training schedule we provide four ‘One on One’ foot-skills session’s. Your time will be spent with English Coaches who are highly experienced in your age group of both genders and all UEFA accredited. Many of our coaching staff work year round with Premier Division clubs. We know exactly what is needed for you to maximize your potential, sessions will be conducted in a relaxed atmosphere with fun safety and learning apparent throughout. Individual Session topics:
Scrimmages Standard/age appropriate so all parties benefit We will arrange for scrimmages between local English Youth Select teams and professional youth academies. This experience of a lifetime benefits everybody on the soccer field, not only will you witness cultural differences you will witness tactics employed by teams from different countries. Child Protection Statement Birchwood Soccer Schools is wholly committed to child protection. Placing a child’s welfare at the center of our concerns provides a solid foundation for the development of young players. Child protection is about making sure that our players can learn, play and travel in a safe environment at all times. This is achieved best through the practice of what we do:
Chaperone Note: Your Chaperone will be with you from check in, flight and program duration. The safety and well being of your child is something that we pride ourselves on, we assure all parents that our chaperones will treat every player as if they were their own son/daughter. With a ratio of 1 Chaperone to 5 campers we make sure every child gets the individual attention they need. Our chaperones are with you from the moment you touch down in England until you depart home. You will have a constant presence from our fully qualified staff. All parents will have a direct telephone line to speak directly to your son/daughter 24 hours a day. This peace of mind is something that we deliver without hesitation. All chaperones can provide a full police check from Her Majesties Police Force, Cheshire, England and have first aid qualifications. Many of our Chaperones are soccer moms themselves.
Scouts Evaluations Scouts from professional English youth academies will provide a full evaluation of your performances game day. This will include advice on how to take your game to the “Next Step” and strengths your shoed during the scrimmage. This amazing advice along with trainers evaluations will be yours to take home. Accommodation Ash Farm Country House is a beautifully appointed 18th century National Trust farmhouse retaining many original features to create a warm and homely atmosphere. This family owned farm house is run by Paul and Michelle, they will tend to your every need making Ash Farm the perfect country retreat. All rooms have king sized beds with en-suite shower/bathroom. All rooms are enhanced by peaceful country or garden views. Guests have full use of a private lounge and garden terrace. Breakfast and parking is fully inclusive at this fantastic location.

The stadium tour takes you behind the scenes at Anfield, visiting the dressing rooms, down the tunnel to the sound of the crowd, a chance to touch the famous “This Is Anfield’ sign and sit in the team dug-out.
